The Youth Group of St Michael’s Melkite Cathedral re-formed in 2020 to encourage the young to learn more about their faith and beliefs, by instilling in their hearts the love and peace of the Lord.

 

St Michael’s Meals provides a welcoming and important environment for the youth as it strengthens relationships and raises awareness about the important social issue of food insecurity that sadly is all too prevalent in Sydney.

 

By mobilising the youth through the charity, it provides an important channel for warm dialogue with the homeless and an opportunity to serve others in a disadvantaged position.

 

Giving back to one’s community and offering a hand to those less fortunate than ourselves was at the core of Jesus’ mission and allows us to live our true faith beyond the walls of any church building.
